My brilliant 7 year old son

Worst day yet-Glenns illness seems to be progressing pretty quickly right now. His pain cannot be controlled much of the time when he "flares" like this. His stomach muscles are the worst part of it. I honestly cannot believe he is still standing with amounts of medication he took today and it didn't really seem to help much. Gonna have to talk to Deanne tonight and come up with some kind of a plan to make him more comfortable. It is awful seeing him in so much pain all of the time.
Last night coming home from Parker's basketball game he asked me when Dad was going to get better. I told him I didn't think he was going to get better (I figure it is best not to be dishonest with him) Then he asked why the nurses and doctors come over then if they cannot make him better. I told him that they come over to come up with a plan to make it so he does not hurt so much. Then later that night out of the blue he tells me that those nurses and doctors need to be working on a plan to make dad not sick any more, not just to make him feel better- I am seriously concerned about what he is going to say to the nurse tonight!

  1. I am now convinced that if we turn all of the world's problems over to 7 year olds, we'd be lots better off! :)

  2. Hello Christen-
I followed the link to this blog on the SPSA page on facebook. I am Cora, from Canada, my mom had SPS. What I am reading on your blog sounds so very familiar, my heart goes out to you and your family. If you ever want to talk to me about my mom, please feel free. I want to help in any way I can. Thinking of you.
